I became a communist at the age of 13 and left communist politics when I was 16,
having seen the incompetence of the people in the party. They have since got old
and died off, none the wiser or achieving anything. I suppose the UK is just not
radical enough.
I live soviet art though and had a gallery display in 1982 when I produced some collages
using soviet posters and my own poetry. I am not an artist though.
The music I have used comes from The Sopranos, a female attempt to produce a phenomenon
like the three tenors. I love operas.
Soviet art and classical music don’t necessarily go together but it works for me.
