These dances are from the time of the Soviet Union, and are eight offerings on video.
After the fall of the Soviet Union, some of the states became independent and today
would identify the dances as national dances from their new nations. I have left
them as they are and there is commentary on the videos that refer to all of them
as Soviet Union dances.
I think the videos I have got are quite rare, and they are an excellent look at the
mid 20th Century, before the commercialisation of folk dance and music.
I can only recommend this presentation to you in the highest terms, but the only
place it can be seen is in my home.
